The Boca Raton Museum of Art features artworks by Belgian artist Koen Vanmechelen in its exhibition ‘Glasstress Boca Raton 2025’. On view in the group exhibition organized by Fondazione Berengo, are four of Vanmechelen’s marble with glass sculptures; three Temptations and Cosmopolitan Fossil - marking a continuation of his use of glass in the Glasstress project. The works have been on show before as part of Vanmechelen prestigious solo exhibition at the Uffizi in Florence in 2022, and can now be discovered in Florida until October 12th.

In the framework of the Art Brussels OFF, Belgian artist Koen Vanmechelen and Hungarian artist Sándor Körei explore the intricate relationships between nature, humanity, and survival in a unique collaboration. At the Liszt Institute Hungarian Cultural Center Brussels Vanmechelen’s work, which is rooted in biocultural diversity and the fusion of species, meets Körei’s thought-provoking interpretations of organic structures, forming a dialogue between art and life itself.

In a remarkable convergence of contemporary art and cultural dialogue, Koen Vanmechelen will showcase his work at a private residence in Cape Town. The exhibition, entitled "Cosmopolitan Renaissance," will feature a selection of Vanmechelen's fundamental pieces resonates with his overarching themes of identity, biocultural diversity, and the interconnectedness of humanity.

Since February, Koen Vanmechelen's participation in the Biennale has received a striking continuation: his multimedia sculpture Noah’s Ark will greet a global audience for an entire year at Venice’s Marco Polo Airport.

The exhibition Art is the Message represents an important reflection on the role of contemporary art in today's society. Curated by Virginia Monteverde, this video art exhibition offers a plurality of views and approaches through the work of seven artists who stand out not only for the techniques they use but also for the themes they address: Stefano Cagol, Elisabetta Di Sopra, Igor Imhoff, Eleonora Roaro, Jean Sadao, Paolo Treni and Koen Vanmechelen.

With “Barefoot” and “Artificial Crossbreeding,” Koen Vanmechelen participates in “Inspiring Limits,” a unique exhibition on disability and inclusivity at VCRB Gallery in Antwerp. In this awareness and experience exhibition, contemporary artists show works that are accessible to people with disabilities who do not experience art in an everyday way. The artists step out of their usual way of working, or choose to exhibit existing artworks in a different way to the visitors of this special exhibition. The request “do not touch” is completely ignored. Inspiring Limits runs from Nov. 14, 2024, to Jan. 5, 2025.
