Koen Vanmechelens’ Material World will be featured in ‘Argent’, an exhibition that celebrates Anouk Vilain Gallery’s silver jubilee, which exists 25 years. This group exhibition will take place from 10 September to 9 October 2022 and is curated by Hilde van Canneyt.

De Koolputten - once a thriving coal mining company in the middle of the 20th century, currently a mix of B&B, restaurant, event venue and exhibition space - organizes an art forum called ‘heirs of Leonardo da Vinci’ which includes artworks of Koen Vanmechelen from 10th July until 18th September 2022.

The city of Poperinge, inspirator Koen Vanmechelen and the curators of the Watou Arts Festival, James Putnam and Michaël Vandebril present Watou 2022 - Sense of Place. An edition that focuses on interconnectedness, on interaction between the village and the artists, on the interplay between art and poetry.

Koen Vanmechelen participates in the international, multi-facetted and diverse “60x60 Food = Politics + Pleasure” video exhibition at Museum Brot und Kunst in Germany. "60×60" is a global film project that combines 60 short films of 60 seconds from a variety of international artists.The overarching theme is food in both political and cultural contexts.

Koen Vanmechelen is invited by Rad-Art, a group of art-loving doctors of AZ Delta to present his works at Radar AZ Delta hospital Roeselare.

After Koen Vanmechelen’s prestigious Seduzione exhibition at Uffizi gallery in Firenze earlier this year, a selection of artworks from the exhibition are now on view at the St Regis Venice hotel. For the artworks Vanmechelen combined Carrara marble with Murano glass to reinvigorate familiar faces from art history with a new unnerving energy.
