Brussels guide 

Olaf Winkler studied architecture in Aachen and Vienna. Since 1997 he has worked as a freelance architecture journalist and critic for leading German architecture magazines. He is editor of the online magazine vorbild and was editor of the print magazines polis and build Das Architekten-Magazin from 2000 to 2012. He is a member of architectural juries, has published several books and communicates architecture and urban culture to architects and interested laypeople through guided tours. In parallel, he works as a freelance artist and is a founding member of the Brussels-based artist cooperative Level Five. Olaf Winkler lives in Schwerte, Germany, and since 2006 has spent much of his time in Brussels.
