Firenze - Het vermaarde Uffizi museum in Firenze opent het exposeizoen 2022 met de tentoonstelling ‘Seduzione' van Koen Vanmechelen. Verspreid tussen de klassieke meesterwerken staan dertig kunstwerken van de Belgische kunstenaar. Ze zijn gewijd aan de thema's evolutie en hybridisatie.

Van 13 januari tot 26 februari presenteert Rasson Art Gallery een selectie werken van Koen Vanmechelen, Marc Lagrange en Emmanuel Barcilon. Een combinatie van conceptuele kunst, fotografie en schilderijen.

Once again, the biennial proposes the challenging task of making sense of our realities through artistic projects that establish a platform of reflection about how civilization has developed as a plural and decentralized space through art.

Koen Vanmechelen is uitgenodigd op de 5e editie van de Biënnale van Jeruzalem, getiteld Four Cubits (ארבע אמות). Deze term wordt in de Joodse traditie gebruikt om iemands privéruimte aan te duiden. Een cubit, of Ama in het Hebreeuws, is een oude lengtemaat van ongeveer 0,5 meter. Vier cubits verwijzen naar de denkbeeldige cirkel van 2 meter rond elke persoon; hun persoonlijke ruimte.
