Emil Rousseau

Emil is a researcher and seasoned youth worker with a wealth of experience in various fields. Alongside Emile Von Schomberg, he cofounded Philoxenia, a volunteer-based network committed to promoting informal education and intercultural dialogue. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Sciences at the University of Ottawa. In 2022, he completed his Master's degree in Anthropology of Sustainability and Global Futures at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London where he focussed his research on the challenges of Sustainable Development and Climate Change in Senegal. This has led him to move to Dakar, Senegal where, until recently, he worked as a Junior Researcher at IPAR (Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale), a think-tank focussing on rural and agricultural development. As a junior researcher, he primarily worked on questions relating to agroecology and climate change. In his free time, he likes to get involved in volunteer-based organizations combining his interests in agroecology and education.
