Hind Fraihi

Hind Fraihi is an investigative journalist, columnist and author. She gained fame through her book Undercover in Little Morocco, in which she already recorded the rise of the jihad in Molenbeek in 2005. This triggered further journalistic undercover operations. She worked for BBC and investigated with the documentaty Radicals Risibg the presence of right-wing and Islamic extremism in Europe. Fraihi also participated in a research project supported by NATO on women and jihadism. In 2017, she was the first writer in residence for art institution Vooruit in Ghent. In 2021, together with photographer Bas Bogaerts, she wrote the book Behind the Shield of the Extreme Right. Her special interest is in various forms of extremism, polarization and diversity.
